Since 2002, SPERI has implemented case studies regarding community development in community of the Kho Mu ethnic minority in Nam Kha village, Nam Bak district.

The primary concern of above case studies relate to cultural identity preservation, poverty alleviation, cultural identity based community development, local knowledge in ecofarming, herbal medicine wisdom in cultural biodiversity preservation and community healthcare, promotion of traditional civil society via interest clubs for a range of themes such as saving-credit, animal husbandry, handicraft textile, etc.) and youth empowerment.

Above case studies are supported by ICCO - the Netherlands.
