Since 1994, Towards Ethnic Women (TEW), Center for Indigenous Knowledge Research and Development (CIRD) and Center of Human Ecology Studies of Highlands (CHESH), the former organizations of SPERI has conducted case studies regarding community development, community based natural resources governance, cultural identity preservation, etc. in different indigenous ethnic minorities in upland areas of Vietnam. These case studies have been implemented via the partnership between SPERI, its allies, partners and the Mekong Ethnic Minority Community Networking and Ecological Trading (MECO-ECOTRA).
